Stündenglass
Stündenglass makes gravity infusers: rotating glass hookahs in which two globes turn through 180 degrees so falling water draws air through the bowl and fills the upper globe. The range covers the full-size Gravity Infuser and the smaller Kompact, plus the Modül Dok and a full set of replacement globes, hoses, liners and ash catchers. They suit people who want a glass centrepiece for sharing.
One point of honesty: a Stündenglass is not a vaporizer. It is designed for use with a lit bowl, so we do not score it on the same two-strain bench used for vaporizers. How does a Stündenglass work?
Water in the lower globe falls into the upper one as you rotate the frame. That movement pulls air through the bowl and fills the empty globe, which you then draw from through the hose.
Gravity Infuser or Kompact?
The Gravity Infuser is the full-size table piece; the Kompact is smaller and easier to move and store.
Is a Stündenglass a vaporizer?
No. It combusts material rather than vaporising it. For a vaporizer that fills a balloon for sharing, look at the desktop range.
