Understanding Terpenes
Terpenes are aromatic compounds found in cannabis and other plants. They create distinctive flavours and aromas, and many have their own therapeutic properties. Different terpenes vaporise at different temperatures — knowing the boiling points helps you dial in the perfect temperature.

Cannabinoids
THC
The primary psychoactive compound in cannabis. At lower temperatures (157–180°C), THC produces more cerebral, uplifting effects. At higher temperatures (180–210°C), the effects become more sedative and body-focused as additional compounds are released.
CBD
Non-psychoactive cannabinoid with wide-ranging therapeutic applications. CBD can moderate THC's effects, reducing anxiety and paranoia. Best extracted at moderate temperatures where it vaporises without degrading.
